About Viluva
Know the real value of a money decision — before you make it.
Viluva (విలువ) is the Telugu word for value. That's what we help you see: what a “no-cost” EMI really costs, which tax regime actually saves you more, what your SIP could become, and how far you are from financial independence.
Why we built it
Most money decisions in India are made with incomplete numbers. EMI offers hide GST and processing fees. Many tax calculators skip marginal relief and get the answer wrong for people earning just over ₹12 lakh. Investment projections rarely say which assumptions they use. And the people selling a financial product are often the same people doing the maths.
Viluva is the opposite: 25 free calculators and plain-English guides that do the maths correctly, show their working and leave the decision to you.
What we stand for
Accuracy first
Every calculator follows current Indian rules — FY 2026-27 tax slabs with marginal relief and surcharge, 18% GST on card interest, quarterly FD compounding, PPF's annual crediting and gratuity under the new labour codes. The maths is covered by automated tests checked against published figures from banks and government sources.
Nothing hidden
Each calculator shows its formula, a worked example and every assumption it makes, so you can check our work instead of trusting a black box.
Private by default
Calculations run in your browser. There's no sign-up, and the numbers you type are never sent to or stored on our servers.
Kept current
Tax laws and interest rates change. We update the calculators and guides after each Union Budget and each quarterly small-savings rate announcement, and every page shows when it was last reviewed.
How Viluva is funded
Every calculator and guide is free to use. The site is supported by advertising, which is clearly separate from our content. Ads never influence how a calculator works or what a guide recommends.
Spotted a mistake?
Accuracy is the whole point, so we want to hear about any number that looks wrong or any rule that has changed. Reach us at viluvaai@gmail.com and we'll check and correct it.
Not financial advice
Viluva is an educational tool. Results are estimates based on your inputs and the assumptions shown, not investment, tax or legal advice. For decisions specific to you, consult a SEBI-registered investment adviser or a chartered accountant. See our terms.
